This course during which students are
exposed to live fire scenarios in the Fire Training Unit (FTU) where
they apply their training and use firefighting equipment to control the
fire.
Personnel on board a ship must be able to
deal with incidents of fire while a ship is at sea. All mariners are
trained in firefighting and fire prevention techniques. Students are
exposed to live fire scenarios in the Fire Training Unit (FTU) where

Various Fire equipment
Organisation and emergency procedures
BA board and tally boards
BA lecture
BA confidence
Firefighting practical from hose running, extinguishers to team firefighting live fires.
Team building.
Damage repair and stability awareness lecture
Dry run
Foam SAR
Damage repair exercise.
